We donate to make the bee removal/rescue process free for people in our communities. When wild bees accidentally co-inhabit our homes and backyards, they are subject to harmful pesticides and herbicides. Our team tries to intervene as often as possible to safely relocate these colonies to chemical-free properties with plenty of room to forage and pollinate, wildly. The more jars of Canna Bees™ we sell, the more colonies we’re able to afford to rescue for free. Our rescue operators, Steve Butler and Justin Russell, are the real heroes, though. Thanks to their brave work and the support of our customers, we’re on track to reach our goal to rescue over One Million Bees in our first year of business.
If you need bees removed properly from your home or place of business, we recommend you reach out to Steve at Company Bee (@companybeetexas). You never know, we may surprise you with a free removal! What are your standards for beekeeping and extracting honey?
We bee-lieve we have the absolute highest standards in the industry. Our beekeepers tend to the honeybees without the use of treatments or chemicals. Our beekeepers don’t use pesticides or herbicides on their properties, either. We wait until our bees have capped off each honey store completely with beeswax before extracting the honey. By capping off their stores, they signal to the world that their nectar has become honey. We make sure not to prematurely intervene during this phenomenal, natural process. These standards ensure we can continue to provide the purest, most natural tasting RAW honeys on the market. What makes honey RAW?
The technical definition of raw honey is very loose: it just means not heated past pasteurization. Great, now what does that mean? It’s important to first understand what happens inside a beehive. When honeybees are at work, their collective body temperature rises and consequently warms their work area – that is, the honey. The temperature of an active hive, therefore, is about 95ºF (35ºC), and the honey is stable and “alive” – or rather, the enzymes in honey that give it the nutritional and beneficial qualities are alive. As long as the temperature of honey does not significantly rise past 95ºF/35ºC, the honey has not been pasteurized. What are the benefits of RAW Honey?
- Good Source of Antioxidants
- Antibacterial and Antifungal
- Digestive Aid
- Sore Throat remedy
Honey is a super-saturated solution of two sugars: glucose and fructose. The proportions of these two sugars are characteristic of the plants the bees fed on to make their honey. It’s the glucose that crystallizes. It’s the natural and spontaneous process of RAW honey. To return the honey to its liquid state, warm up some water in a pot or pan. Add the jar of Canna Bees™ to the pot or pan. You want the jar to be about 1/2 submerged in water. Stir the honey carefully as it warms, and your honey should return to its liquid state. Be careful, however, not to get water in the honey. Why does the honey vary in color?
Raw, small batch honey will vary in color and flavor from season-to-season and hive-to-hive. As our bees are free to forage wildly and pollinate whichever flora they choose, the honey characteristics are representative of that freedom. We do not “cut” our honey with any artificial agents to keep uniformity. Our apiaries are rich in Texas Wildflowers, though, and therefore our honey is a flavorful representation of the seasonal varieties. What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many cannabinoid molecules produced by Cannabis, second only to THC in abundance. These naturally occurring cannabinoids, or phytocannabinoids, are characterized by their ability to act on the cannabinoid receptors that are part of our endocannabinoid system. While THC is the principal psychoactive component of Cannabis, CBD is naturally occurring in Industrial Hemp and another familiar plant product, Flax seed.Is CBD legal?
Yes! Our industrial hemp extracts comply with European and US Law. ”The supplied material does not include any prohibited resins or portions of the plant that are subject to the United States Controlled Substance Act, Title 21, Chapter 13, U.S.C.S., pertaining to the sale and distribution of cannabidiol oils and products. Specifically, the material is comprised of compounds, salts, derivatives, mixtures, fibers, oils and /or cakes from mature industrial hemp stalks. 21 U.S.C.§ 802(16).”Do your products contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)?
Our products do not contain THC and are not considered a medical marijuana product. Industrial hemp by definition contains less than .3% THC by weight. Without the psychoactive compound (THC), you will not get high.Where do you source your Industrial Hemp Extracts?
We support local extractors who source the Industrial Hemp and CBD extracts from domestically operated hemp farms that are fully compliant with section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill. We do not, will not, and have never sourced our hemp extract from China. We abide by both state and federal laws so that we can provide CBD-infused RAW honey to everyone.Do you use a full spectrum CBD?
A true Full spectrum means the extract contains Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). We are a Texas company and currently Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) isn’t legal to produce or sell in the state of Texas. What’s your return policy?
